Momir Savic in hiding

Image: Momir Savic

One day after the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced Momir Savic to 17 years in prison for crimes committed in the Visegrad area, Savic disappeared from Visegrad. He is suspected to have fled over the border to Serbia – a safe haven for Visegrad war criminals.

In 2008, the Trial Chamber released  Momir Savic from custody and took all his travel documents. Savic was obliged to report to the Visegrad Police Station everyday.

  1. There’s something repulsive about seeing the face of this man, along with those of the Lukics and Vasiljevic, staring out from your blog and sharing the same space as the reminders of his victims. Hopefully this picture will dog the footsteps of a cowardly murderer and not reliably determined rapist until justice comes knocking on his door.

It’s about time for Bosniaks to create a special branch to deal with such cases teh way the Israels did. If they can, why can’t the Bosniaks? You see what happens when such unspeakable individuals are given fair treatment.
