  1. I see you tagged this under Urbicide – inability to tolerate the presence of “otherness”. Our relationship to “otherness” is part of the way we define ourselves. The sad clumsy people who set out to destroy the presence of otherness in their town have ended up with a town in their sad clumsy image. Of course, there’s a way of reconfiguring that sad, clumsy identity – the question is whether there’s the will or the ability to perceive the possibility of another identity.
