The Paklenik massacre was the massacre of 48 Bosniaks from Visegrad in 15.06.1992 in theRogaticaMunicipality. 49 Bosniak men were taken off deportation buses and executed. Their bodies were dumped into a ravine called Paklenik. Only one man managed to survive. Their remains were exhumed several years after the war.

In the past you posted Daniel McGrory’s quoting of Eva Klonowski, who was responsible for the exhumation: “Scrabbling on her hands and knees, Dr Eva Klonowski shows how one man, his elbow shattered by a bullet and his hands still tied, somehow managed to crawl 50 yards to a ledge where he must have bled to death in the darkness. ‘This is a slaughterhouse and whatever your politics or what you think of the Balkans, surely we have a duty in the name of humanity to find out who these people are,’ she says.”
Your naming of these people and your posting of the pictures of so many of the victims of Visegrad enables us to share the responsibility of fulfilling the duty Eva Klonowski mentions to find out who these people are, to remember our common humanity and to emphasise that the crime against them is a crime against all of us.

A graphic description of the site was given by by Irham Ceco in Dani, 25 August 2000:

Ceco’s article includes another list of names:
“Criminals have names
The survivors from the convoy that on June 14 left Visegrad did not see the death of their loved ones. But they remembered many of those who escorted the convoy and took away males older than 16 in “unknown direction”. It is known for sure that Zeljko Tasic fired at Paklenik. As well as Dragan Lukic, a teacher from Sokolac. The list of the “armed escort” of the convoy was given to us by witnesses Mula, Dervisa and Rahima Omerovic, Rahima, Zineta and Nazija Zukic and Juso Karaman and Zaim Spahic. All of them were in the convoy on the day the part of the convoy ended up in the killing field.
